Its still 10 times more enjoyable than the 2007 version.

The series (all 39 episodes) was filmed in West Germany, hence the numerous German accents.

The one thing they did right on this show: the hand lettered episode titles, all works of art in their own right.

The off-key opening theme alone is comedy gold.

It's hard to believe that this is shot in 1955.I mean look at the effects of War of the Worlds 1953.

the 'special effects' are even worse then the 30s serials.
i didnt like it that this seres never had Mongo.

Haha, yeah, it's funny in old movies and shows how the 'Bad guys' are always german (and later russian) even when they are aliens or mole men or other absurd enemies, somehow they speak english with an "evil" accent.
