Depends on your opponent and your speed and skill. Every combat situation as I m sure you know is different. Different strokes for different folks, man. These are just a few of the options. Honestly speaking though I agree I would rather not put a limb out against blade unless there is no other way. Good Call.

Sport fighting and practical self defense and military fighting are totally different things. Get your anti-semantic head screwed on straight ya fucking twit.

@Urchin666 MMA is a sport. This is taught for self defense for civilians and for combat in the military. This style is, in fact, so effective that many military branches and law enforcement agencies use it.

I've done MMA, boxing, kung fu, JKD and judo in the past, and Krav Maga is so far the most brutal fighting system I've studied.

It's not geared towards sport fighting, but sport fighting isn't geared for survival in the street and in combat.

@Soulshroude i go to krav maga classes, ive done boxing, wrestling, tai boxing, street fighting.. on my first day my instructor told me to attack him i tried a right hook left elbow and went for uppercut and was put on my arse with a twisted wrist unable to move, so dont knock it til u tried it.
