Corrupt Politicians, not a Large Population, cause Poverty,

Government policies, not the number of mouths to feed that cause poverty in Philippines,

Too many mouths to feed with too little food to eat. There are too many people without work, without education, without health care. There is too much crime in the streets, too much garbage around, too much air pollution.

The question is—as it has always been—the kind of governance a country has? "When political leaders lie, cheat and steal, when public offices become a common public curse especially in terms of graft and corruption, when public funds . . . go to private pockets, all these impoverish the nation, and violate the population."

It is not the children's fault in the picture. Some on the government still attached on the church about Go and Multiply. We know the source of many of the problems is the population, and still we are not doing anything on it. Let us start with the family and school by giving the teenagers pills and condom and teach them about sex eduction. Be open minded parents, your kids are sex active, talk to them. Population control is the answer because we all love to ah ah ah. : )

@gi2bull I know what you are trying to say, but seriously, there is no one-step solution for a complicated problem such as poverty. In order to solve poverty, numerous solutions should be done, including control of birth rate. If you control the birth rate, you control the dependency ratio, and such alleviates poverty.

some people think that the best way to answer the poverty problem in the Philippines is to control childbirth among the poor. as if the poor would later have better jobs after using condoms distributed using people's money.

if you wanna be rich... be a politician in the philippines... it's where all the money is... coming from the people of the philippines who work so hard even if the salary grade is cheap... not only that OFW's pays more higher taxes than those within the country... yet the ppl in that country never enjoyed such benefits that they deserve...health care system is poor so if you are are poor and no money with you.. you die..

The philippines can be a great country financialy. Its people is great, its culture is awesome, the people are willing to work hard for their nation and their families yet these corrupt greedy politicians are not willing to distribute the wealth. They're only after themselves and thats the bottom line.
