ITS ABOUT TIME! 20 years to late?

I grew up in the PUGET sound since the mid 1970s and was fustrated by the ever growing traffic. When I immigrated across the boarder to Vancouver last few years and could not believe the wonderful Sky train that is up here.

Vancouver has just finished its THIRD skytrain light rail system in a little over 20 years! Where has Seattle been in all this time?

Vancouver Skytrain is not voter approved. In this town the attitude is JUST DO IT.

Ha ha, totally agreed. Seattle is slow as hell. Two other big northwestern cities, Portland and Vancouver, had light rail systems long before Seattle, and both are smaller than the Emerald City!! WTF?!?

Don't forget that Seattle has a monorail as WELL! so in that respect, it is up there with Vancouver as far as skytrains and monorails go!

Seattle only "DOES IT" when it comes to building shit we don't need. like stadiums (we're still paying for the fucking king dome's roof and demolition!!!!!!!).

The funny thing about Seattle is the monorail system is cool, but the length kills it. If i were to circum-navigate the city it would be fantastic. Or even if it crossed the city in some way. But,hey more power to them in balto/wash. we've been pondering the idea for 10yrs or more...so goooo Seattle!

The monorail needs to be extended through Downtown and beyond.

Congratulations Seattle! Ignore all those who've been drinking the [G]Hatorade. Nice looking LRV, for a long awaited line. As much as I would've loved to have seen a monorail system take off in Seattle, this line looks nice! I look forward to coming down to Seattle and trying out your new LRT when it's ready next year.
