I would use curly or wavy hair with this particular technique, however it can be done with straight hair.

I appreciated the video...I know how to do these braids but it has been soooooo long since I wore the braids and I needed to have a reminder on the thickness and the amount on the sections and your video was A+++

Thanks so much for the video. I tried it and it looks wonderful. I used a deep curl hair from Freetress and I love it. I didn't understand why the knot was not tight but you are correct the braids will not fall out. So for all of you wondering about the knot, don't. It will be fine. Thanks again blkbutttaflies.
