Not because I went to school for years and years but because I produce high quality work for companies.I dont sit on my ass like a doctor and charge people a fortune to see them a few minutes and write a prescription that I know will make them sicker. Residents are often not allowed to take vacation, sick days or even lunch breaks. When I was a general surgery resident, my boss told me that I could only call in sick if I was a patient on a ventilator in the ICU.

@JohnnyBoyCali I don't know where you got the 10 year figure. If you are going to compare Physicians to engineers and computer scientists, you need to include undergraduate training also. Undergraduate=4yrs, Med school=4yrs and Residency=3 to 8yrs. So the figure is more like 11 to 16 yrs. Most engineers go to school for 4-6 yrs and then get to work. You don't know what you are talking about so do yourself a favor and keep your misguided thoughts to yourself.
