Teen Model Sues Urban Outfitters

The parents of an underage model filed a $28 million lawsuit in Manhattan federal court against a photographer and three retail outlets, including Urban Outfitters, over a sexually suggestive image of the girl snapped last year they say was publicly released, and plastered on shirts, without their permission.

The model was identified by the New York Post as Hailey Clauson, a 16-year-old based out of Southern California who's done extensive work in New York and Paris for high-end fashion labels such as Gucci, Donna Karan and Oscar de la Renta. The picture shows Clauson -- a wiry, 5-foot-11 blonde who was 15-years-old when the photo was taken in March 2010 -- sitting backwards on a motorcycle in what her parents called in court docs a "spread eagle position."

In the lawsuit, the parents said they never granted permission to photographer Jason Lee Parry to sell the image, as he said he would not release the shot after receiving a complaint from Clauson's former agent. In the lawsuit, the parents claim the shot could irreparably damage her career, as it makes her "the object of prurient interests and provides wallpaper for the likes of pedophiles."

And yet, photos like these taken from the model's very own website, are perfectly innocent and acceptable. Right. Either these parents are in complete denial that their teenage daughter probably shoots heroin and goes to orgies, or they are greedy and exploitative. Agree or disagree? What makes her attractive is that you can't tell she's 15... so if you're looking at an image of a female, looks about 22, are you hurting her??? I'm really on the fence about that. BUT I think the poster makes a good point--why aren't the other pictures explicit? She's not even wearing pants!

she's in the industry for about three or four seasons now, isn't that is a matured gurl to decide which is the best for her?? and she did got the payment, right?? so, why must now then her parents wanted to sue the Urban .....watsoever...huh!! despite her young age, she actually made he breakthru season last season, when she was modeled in Dior, Chanel and so other big, mega brands!! did her parents read the contract before they let her daughter signed it??
