I do study occasionally for it. I'm using internet to help find study guides for it that are for free. My grandfather has his license and he helps with what he can. He loved helping me make a J pole for the ISS. Said he hand made one in so many years. Now hes thinking about restarting his ham station.

Any time ;-)
You should go for it, I reckon you won't have to much trouble passing the exam.

Thanks a lot glad you liked it. Unfortunately you need a amateur radio licence and some radio gear. However it is reasonably easy to get one these days.
Good luck and check out my site via my channel page.
