With a style that is direct and honest, Congress Tim Permanent challenges without raising unnecessary noise. Inspired by the avant-pop lyricism of artists like Tori Amos and Robyn pop sensibilities, it creates danceable sounds capes with intelligent phrasing and authentic emotion filled.
On his latest EP marker, published in January 2011, he mixes electronic elements genuinely uplifting, all articulated in his strong, clear voices. The self-produced five-song collection contains the first deposit "asymmetric" whose heart-on-sleeve honesty is a recurring theme in the songwriting of Tim.
"Life inspires me to write songs," says Tim. "My intention, the listener has the feeling of hope and inspiration that they, as I am is."
He came from the East Coast, took a self-taught singer and guitarist in a conservatory for the performing arts in New York. Soon after Tim signed a co-founder of the politically and socially conscious avant-folk band Testosterone Kills, fortified records before the West Coast and pursue a solo career. In 2008 he released his first album recording in an unconventional format to a USB jump drive.
Performances together with Deborah Cox, Adam Lambert and Fantasia in LA Pride 2009 finally gave way to live one's own supporters for his innovative multimedia his show in places like Los Angeles, Key Club, Roxy and mint.
Inspired by Dan Savage Gets It Better project, in 2010, Tim's own "He is better" video, shares his path to self-acceptance as an artist and as part of the LGBT community.
By true to him, he hopes the music that everyone does the same to create inspired.
