It's great seeing 200m impacts with 7.62x39. Very underrated cartridge, and very great video. It's good to see actual marksmanship at work! I know a fellow who shoots 200 meters with iron sights on a Bulgarian SA-93. He doesn't make every shot, but breaks enough clay for it to count and hits within a few cm if he doesn't (flips the clay). At 100m he never misses. Anyone that says AK's aren't accurate has never seen a quality AK in the hands of a good shooter. Thanks for posting video!

Great vid! I just picked up my Saiga 7.62 yesterday and took it out to the range. Me and my bro's were hitting targets 200m with just open sights... so whoever says an ak47 is inacurrate has obviously never fired one, or can not shoot for shaat. I fackin love this rifle!

You killed the enemy.

Too bad we didn't get to see the rifle.

Wonder what you can get with the 5.45x39. Think I am going to buy a scope mount and good scope and see what I can do with my interarms ak74.

great shooting, i have an arsenal sgl21 too! and it sure is fun!

HAHA eat that all you AK haters! I'm just kidding. Very nice shooting, the AK is very underrated in the accuracy dept.

@crxbeast16a Unaccurate*, not inaccurate you illiterate moron.

Im looking into getting a saiga. what would be better for 200 yard shots, the .223 or the 7.62x39? or will there be any real big difference?

@0SumProductions I just shot an SGL21-61 today and that is exactly what I got. 1.75" group at 100 yds using double tap 123gr. With PPU, S&B and russian steel ammo, groups were 2.15" to 3.5". Do you find American brass to be better than Russian stuff like Golden Bear, Silver and Brown Bear, Wolf? I'm trying to decide what ammo to get for more extensive testing.

Also - comparing performance out of a match barrel with match ammo and handloads over a non-match rifle shooting the cheapest ammo one can find is hardly a great comparison wouldn't you agree?
wow never thought it was like that...i never tried any long shots cause i thought i would be a waste of time and ammo

I have had an AK out to 400 yds shooting at coke cans and head-sized targets. I get about a 40% hit rate at that range. The AK is definitely a capable shooter.
