Let's Play Return of the Phantom Part 1 - The Phantom Really Did Exist...

... or so Gaston Leroux so famously wrote in his 1910 novel, The Phantom of the Opera. So ubiquitous and popular is this story now that countless adaptations and readaptations have been made of it - not just in movies, musicals, and novels, but in video games as well!

This LP covers the game Return of the Phantom, created by a little gaming company called Microprose in the nineties during the height of the Adventure Gaming genre. It's a sort of semi-sequel to the original story, taking place in the present day. You play Raoul Montand, a detective charged with solving an intriguing, strange case that spans not only the present day, but the past as well. After a nasty fall, Raoul finds himself transported back to the 1800s, the same era the original story took place - only now, he's become Raoul de Chagney, and must prevent Christine from becoming the Phantom's prisoner forever! Hope you enjoy this new LP adventure; it's sure to be an interesting one...
