http://www.begbucks.com Here; I demonstrate my trusty Chinese 6/6.5 Silent diesel generator. I picked this baby up for $430 from a rental store (tried & true) I changed the oil to 15-40 Rotella & added about 1/2 cup of Lucas HD Oil Stabilizer which I find really smoothes out this 'ole diesel although the piston rings are fine. I would recommend this in any diesel or gas engine new or old.

Added In future videos later this Fall I will show how I modded this to be able to safely run filtered to 1 Micron, Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO), Waste Motor Oil (WMO) & Waste Transmission Fluid (WTF), including separate switches for oil heaters, injection line heaters & aux fuel pump.

This genny was a substantial assistance during Tropical Storm Irene which blew thru on 8/28/2011.

@FrenchValleyAirport It's winter & wvo appreciates cold about as much as Dave lol, but come Spring (ours is unfortunately 6 weeks later than most but Fall is milder thru Thanksgiving.) I get on it. I also need to rig a 15 Gal drum I picked up to serve as the tank, but may rig up a gerry can.

@Pyroman1990 Could be the piston rings allowing blow by or perhaps lofty under hood temps due to the 'ole redline for a good time scenario

@artcancro Oh my; I checked & it's amazing every thing I'd ever need from piston rings to cams & most sellers stating compatibility with the 186 series. I searched before but used keywords "Chinese" or the model of my genny - no luck - You made my Christmas!

@Begbucks You can search eBay for "186F injector" and find a ton of them. You can also try Aurora Generators who seem to be one of the more reputable online dealers of this style generator; they sell all of the parts as well.

@artcancro Can I ask if I ever needed an injector would the l100 series also work? I ask because I'll be running mainly on alternative fuels & should this issue arise I would like to know it's a some $45 fix.
