Now this is why Penn Jillette is one of my favorite atheists (I'm a Christian, by the way). He gets that atheists and theists can agree to disagree. He's not like Seth Macfarlane or Richard Dawkins, as he's not condescending to people with different beliefs (plus, I think he's totally right about politics). Really, the only atheist I might like better is Matt Stone (from South Park).

Penn: I was in total silence listening to every word very carefully, and nothing but tears rolled down my face. Thank you for sharing this, Penn. Continuing to pray for you!

I'm an atheist, but I try to think like Penn. He understands that good people are good people regardless of belief or affiliation, and living that way makes me much happier and calmer in my day-to-day. Now every time somebody on my college campus tries to give me a pocket bible or introduce me to a bible study group, I try to give them the benefit of the doubt and remind myself that these are good people who want, with all their hearts, to hep me, an atheist stranger.

You're right, only common sense and logical conclusions contradict it since we are infants when it comes to scientific knowledge, but don't hold your breath. Apparently when the flood occurred it was said to cover every mountain-top, Everest is almost 6 miles tall, this depth wouldn't allow any sunlight for the persistence of plant life, essentially dooming the animals getting off of the Arc, and getting all and only marsupials in Australia, Evolutionarily explainable, not through theology.

"I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness:..." Ecclesiastes 7:25. Show evidence of your claims. There exists NO scientific evidence that contradicts Judeo/Christian teaching, in fact the opposite is true. Do a little research...

His assertion is no more outrageous than a theist saying they "know there is a god".

I'm taking straight from the source man, I'm not sure how much more accurate of a source there is for Christianity's theory of life than the bible.

Here is a more accurate attitude toward God:

tinyurl billsey777 go to the hymns directory. "Oh, Lord God, King of Creation"

When you get over yourself, let us know.

loved it until you said, "I know there is no God." LIke you have been everywhere in the F_ing universe and looked? You have the secret X-ray vision that none of the rest of us have to look behind every quark?

Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
