  • Really Jordan, you are so awesome! Also, I LOVE the way you carry your wrap. I just bunch mine up and throw it in the diaper bag or on the floor of the car. LOL! I will reiterate what you have already said in regards to comments and questions. The wraps are 5 yards long, but the woven wraps are wider than stretchy. 20" is great for a stretchy because, well, it stretches. Wovens need to be 25 or wider. But not more than 28 to 30 AT THE MOST.... (cont.)

  • @RideWithMomma Your welcome : ) You should totally let me know how the dying goes with your friend. I would need step by step directions! lol

  • Hey! I am hoping to get a moby wrap for my baby shower, and was planing on making a second by using it as a pattern. Do you think I could use the moby as a pattern for a woven wrap? Considering what you have said about the fabric differences between the two?

    Also really enjoy your vlogs!

  • @ipinkyou Here are the dimensions of the wraps that the lady where I got mine makes them: They both are 5 yds long and her woven wraps are 25-27 '' wide and her stretchy wraps are 20'' wide. So if you were using the stretchy wrap as a pattern for a woven wrap I would just make the woven one wider. Other than that then you should be able to use it as a pattern.

  • @carleighsmommy thanks : ) The woven wrap is perfect for older babies. Jayden is 2 and weighs about 24ish lbs and I can still wear him with perfect ease : ) I have a friend that has an 8 month old that I babysit often and it works WONDERFUL for her too. I love it.

  • @RideWithMomma we just got our mei tai and have been practicing, the back hold is the one I really want to learn. I love the pictures of you and your baby on your website!

  • @nannerskins What carry are you talking about?? I would love to find out!!! Usually with front carries you can sort of pre-tie, put baby in, then tighten up and finish tying. But, if there is a full-out pre-tie carry with a woven, I really want to know!! :-)

  • @elisam34 I totally understand!! I have a "Kozy" brand Mei Tai, which now that my son is pushing 2, and has been worn from birth, sometimes works better when I need to wear him, but he is uncooperative. LOL (I talk a little about why I went from that to wraps on the "woven" page of my website if you are interested.) Happy babywearing!

  • because any bigger and you will be dealing with WAY too much excess fabric. The comment about dying it.... GO FOR IT! I actually have a friend who is planning to dye hers in her bathtub. The fabric is completely unbleached & un-dyed, so have at it. Then let me know how it works out. LOL! (Other comments I will leave to the respective commenter.)
