I suppose their was a comedic reason for it, but I was distracted by the pipe-smoking bassist. I play bass and I was a smoker (smoke free now for almost 2 1/2 yrs. However, I would never smoke on stage - there are saety as well as visual issues.

It's so weird to see them laughing like that! On the Andy Griffith show, their characters were never even allowed to smile. I love it!
