    1) Monks are not allowed to dig the earth or cut trees , but monks help lay people to build these huts and buildings.

    2) There are poisonous snakes , But these monks develop unconditional love for the snakes so the snakes do not harm the monks. To get a good example please listen to "Thanissaro Bhikkhu -Quality of Metta " at AudioDharma.
