I appeared in the second series of the BBC2 show Dragons' Den with my back/body lotion applicator. Way back the product was called Bodybaster - this was changed for this show to BackBeauty but is now called BackBliss. Since then a back scratcher has been added to the BackBliss range. • Avon Calling

  • @TheMrgeekmania I wish they would! Avon could really do with selling my product to help their customers get their lotions and creams to their backs!

  • I know about the others on the market as part of my research entailed ordering all similar products that I could fine, however the patented design of the BackBliss Lotion Applicator enables you to really rub in the lotions of creams. Many other products reach the right area but don't enable you to exert any pressure and therefore 'feel' where you are rubbing and know you have covered your back completely. A lot of ideas these days are just better adaptations of existing products.

  • must my idea be up and running and have a patent in place before i can enter the show?? i need an invester to help get the product made and sold to a bigger company!! sorry for the random msg but i cant find the rules for the show anywhere!!

  • Hi Pagan Princess

The form you get from the BBC asks all the questions. They do ask for patent details and more information about your idea. What you do not want to do is go on DD with a new idea that a company could pick up and copy within days. You do not have to have it up and running but you will need to have sourced places for production and got costings etc - that is part of the key information that you will need to know what to charge. You will also need business plan, Hope this helps
