Been arguing for a while with my friends about who plays the better solo! Not gunna state my opinion on that, however, I do feel John Mayer should have played second. His solo was dirtier and stronger (not necessarily better, simply more aggressive) so it sounded a little weird transitioning from that to Clapton's clean phrasing.

Sorry one more thing. So is SRV, was and still is one of the best bluesman. My bad.

I too agree that SRV plays alot of Hendrix songs, but you cannot say that SRV plays like Hendrix, SRV puts his own touch into those covers, thats already individuality.

SRV is great ill admit but he does play alooooot like hendrix considering the amount of hendrix covers he does and the precision he covers them with...so SRV is great but i woldnt say he has as much individuality when compared to a guy like hendrix

mayer plays good pop on acoustic and decent blues. Doubt he can do good rock or like jazz. Give it 5-10 years and Mayer will be a new legend
