  • save your dosh and get some txi delks and reciever. Attx just eats batterys

  • Delks are good. But what I don't get about these is there is no on/off switch so that's got to be a pain in the arse if you have your receiver switched on in the bivvy and want switch one of the alarms off for whatever reason. I spose there must be ways around it.

  • The on off switch is built into the hard case cover. So all you do is put the cover over the alarm you are not using and its OFF. Simple.

  • Incorrect. Try using quality batteries not 20 for a £1 from a pound shop. Many shops sell batteries that have been sitting on the shelf for months sometimes years. I have had an ATT receiver switched on for at least 14 days continous without any problem. It takes 1 AA battery, hardly an expensive replacement when required.

  • These nonsense tests really do make me laugh. Why on earth would I want to put my bite alarms in a jar of water? The other thing is hasnt all this been done before? I can guarantee you now that My old Delkim optonic conversions have been in the lake more times than a duck and yes when they came out they still worked!! Ohhh and unlike those little novelty items mine will still be going strong in another 30 years and those things will be in a hole ( a bit like me)

  • Why would you want to do this, well we have proof as to why. An angler fishing the River Chelmer in Essex this weekend woke up in the morning to find his alarms under water. Ihave photgraphic proof if you want it. I doubt VERY much your Optonics would still function fully under water for any period of time. All alarms can take a dip in water, left to dry out they often function again for some time . I would like to see you put your Optonics under water and see them function fully whilst under.

  • @64bitbrain

Again thanks for your comments (very funny!).

This season I lost a Salmon on the River Lune of approx 32lb and enjoy all codes of fishing. The best fish I have ever caught is a 8lb 4oz Eel which took me three seasons to eventually tempt (a fish of a lifetime!)

My point with the ATTS alarms is that some things you would expect from a product!

Being able to keep operating when it's raining is one and yes my optonics have taken a few duckings (accidentally dropped) Cheers The Numpty

Thanks for your comments. I can tell by the way you haven't thrown a load of F**Ks into me that you are an intelligent fella. I particularly liked your 'getwivdaprogram' line (LOL). I have a company called Beamer-PB and we specialise in pushing forward the design and development of fishing tackle (especially stainless products). If you go onto my profile you can watch some of my product videos. My Products are hitting the shops next season and are already used across Europe.

  • @hollowedhead

It appears your trying to sound clever but infact you sound like a real ol moron.lol

Placing the alarms in water is pointless, unless your trying to show how water tight in the rain they would be, ay, derrr.

Your comments are pointless if anything here is !

Although i use fox and not ATTS i know there a good bit of kit, and it seems your the one waisting money converting crusty ol' optonic by delkim into modern day wannabe's. Just get a new set numpt, getwivdaprogram!

  • @hollowedhead IGNORANCE IS BLISS AY! NUMPTY. Its just a demo of how water tight they are for water ingrees from rain ! No, any sensible angler shouldnt be having there alarms get submerged at anytime for any reason.

Yet you say your crusty old optonic delkim converts have been in the lake moretimes than a duck??? WTF??? What kind of angler are you, a lame one by the sound of it. LOL.

Get with the times or take up fly fishing ! And stop dunking your alarms numpty! who does that???

  • Yeah and then you might lose your alarm! then your rod! Oh Jesus!
