its really informative lecture but 1 thing i want 2 mention tht 1 more reason of epilepsy is a person who awake in sleep when he is unconcecious me and my cousin have a same problem

It won't actually kill you. Like other commenters have said, unless you're in a dangerous situation where you have a seizure, i.e.swimming where you can drown or you hit your head on a table, that could give you a severe concussion or worse, it really can't do you much harm physically unless you're in an enviromental situation that will harm you or your seizure lasts too long. The worse i've ever gotten were bruises on my head and a welt on my tongue. But i've been seizure free for 2yrs. now.

@hardrockcoco OMG I know right xD Or had holes drilled through our heads. Freakin ridiculous shit.

@hysteria0overdue More people die from epilepsy related causes each year than people who die from AIDS, SUDEP accounts for 7-17% of deaths People with epilepsy who suffer from depression are five times more likely to commit suicide than the overall population, Epilepsy is more common than multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and Parkinson's disease combined. Funding falls far short of any funding dedicated to even one of these afflictions.

@hysteria0overdue 200,000 new cases are diagnosed in the US each year alone, Every two minutes someone is diagnosed with epilepsy in the US, That’s about the same number of people who are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, According to the Epilepsy Foundation of America, about the same number of people die from seizures as die from breast cancer, In 70% of the cases diagnosed, no known cause is found. Yep you read that right, 70%
-
1) 2% of deaths in high-income countries are due to breast cancer.
2) 0.8% of people get epilepsy.
3) Epilepsy can't kill you, unless you injure yourself whilst having a seizure or endure a generalised or complex-partial seizure for over 30 minutes resulting in brain damage. (Extremely rare)
Thus I'm afraid it doesn't kill "as many if not more people than breast cancer each year".
Thank God I didn't live in Midevial times. I surely would have been burned at the stake...haha.
