  • @RangerFishingBoats NO it isn't. It's the byproduct of incomplete combustion of diesel fuel. It has nothing to do with the cylinder walls. If that much carbon just came off the cylinder walls than he also wouldn't have any piston rings or compression. Pistons do tend to slide up and down quite a bit in a block after all. :D

  • @heyybii black smoke from diesels is burnt carbon from the cylinder walls, it is harmless to the ozone layer. Way better than gas emissions
