  • Just cleaned my grandfathers 870, and when i took the trigger assembly out, it looked like an elephant had taked a shit in there!!, so i put it in diesel oil among other parts of the gun, seems to work brilliantly!!

  • @njaln Great call on the diesel! Kerosene and white gas work well also.

  • Good video, learned a few tips. The only thing you didnt really do is take out the choke tube and clean underneath it.

  • @dubstylee444 Thanks bud, I appreciate that! No choke tube in this particular barrel to demo though.

  • This was sooo helpful!! Everything was spot on and couldn't be more accurate! Bought my first shotgun just yesterday and I cleaned it (heard you need to clean new firearms) while following along to this! I just didn't take the trigger mechanism out since I didn't have anything to punch it out with. Going to next time though now that I know how it all comes apart/together! Thanks a million!!

  • @Smilie6669 Well, I'm very glad it helped. It's always nice to get this type of encouraging feedback. Thanks for the kind words bud!

  • If your fielding the gun and putting it on the ground and what not. Its best to clean it every 2nd time. Depending on conditions. oil and grease like to hold on to dirt and dirt is an abrasive which can cause moving parts to wear and become loose.

Nice video, one of these days Ill clean my 870 but 15 rounds just isnt enough hahaha

  • Thanks - very useful video!

  • @TheDoug76 Thanks a bunch man! I'm glad it was helpful.

  • Nice video, very straight forward process, which you showed well. Anyone would do a good job cleaning simply following your moves.
