Communist Japan. It may sound strange, but one of the upshots of the current economic crisis is a dramatic surge in party membership among the young and even a Manga comic book version of Karl Marx's Das Kapital.

  • i think communism itself is nothing bad, but somehow the USA and all of western europe seem to be strictly against it. probably that's because of the way communistic countries treat their people.

but in my opinion communism in its purest form would be nothing bad. there wouldn't be any borders between countries anymore, only the things would be produced, that need to be produced and everything would be divided up equally among all. i don't think that would be wrong in any way.

  • @timsr I wish I could quote your comment in all prejudiced Anti-communism comments.

  • @scokempc we can change this way of thinking only when we wil evolve culturally and technologically like it has always hapened in history when human society have changed..even capitalism have replace feudalism in that way..and also with a lot of blood during the french revolution..for comunism in the past was simply not the time because were not evolved enough at the time..but future technological and cultural progres wil colapse capitalism replacing it with someting better and more evolved

  • @scokempc for exemple 2000 years ago in roman times..in the roman society wich was the most evolve at the time..the slaves were something normal maybe even for the slaves it must have seem normal that the conqueror can make whatever they want of the conqured..of course is human nature to want to be more powerfull then the other and to be superior when you learn for thousands of year that this is the way to survive that this is the way to be winers

  • @scokempc you cannot have comunism if you have scarcity...do we have the resoucres and the tehnology to eliminate scarcity in todays world?i dont know but if we have then a comunist society it is posible..there is no such thing as human nature and instincts..we humans can be wathever we want thats why we are not living in the jungle and by the jungle rules anymore.is only a question of evolution of the humans as a society and as individuals.look back in history how human society have evolve

  • I agree with you, the idea of a Communist world sounds great. But something we need to understand, is that for this utopian society to work, everyone needs to think and act the same way, and that's not going to happen. It's human instinct to "want", because that's how we survive. It's by helping ourselves improve as individuals, that then we can start helping each other without state intervention. To create a communist society, you need a large state intervention and that in the end restricts us
