Simple Dodge and Burn retouching technique using colours derived from skin tones painted onto the 50% grey layer. An extension of the previous technique which was simply using black and white.

  • Amm.. and what's wrong with Healing tools???

  • @Entity001 As explained in the earlier videos, you have no control over it and it can have an impact on the quality of the texture. Not so noticeable at small print sizes, but once you start printing large it becomes much more visible.

  • Hi, mate. Has a dodge (or burn) colour, sampled from a light (dark) skin area, an advantage, in your opinion, to white (or black) as a dodge (burn) reference? Does the method related by you not introduce excessive saturation? Thanks…

  • Why no control? I use them on a separate layer and change the opacity if needed. Don't get me wrong, your way is ok, but in my opinion, A LOT slower.

I've had stuff printed in glossy A4 magazines and never noticed any problem with healing tools before..

  • That is an interesting approach. You have to be very calm and calm and calm. :))
