what do you do when someone leaves you. Eventually after time you give up clutching straws, you figure out you move on, but when someone leaves and there is no apparent reason no evidence of a failing relationship, no luck that went wrong no signs and you are left bereft of hope no tomorrow. a distortion occurs you become lost to your own thoughts your recriminations and of those around you seemingly less suspect and circumspect. So the proposition in the song is one of trust who do you trust how do you trust - but do you trust yourself when you have been let down and you nurture your techniques that brought you to these ways where others didn't understand do you forgive will they not understand..the writing hand writes and moves on - jitters © 1970 -2007
