Ipod Touch Glitch Not Turning On

So I turned off my 3rd gen. jailbroken ipod touch version 4.2.1 ( When I say "turned off" I mean shut down by sliding the shut down power button) and now I cannot turn it back on. Also, the device is not recognized at all by my mac or iTunes. I've tried soooo many things to turn it on such as holding down the snooze button and home button together but nothing seems to work. If someone can give me an answer, that would be great because I don't want to send it into Apple and spend a couple hundred $$$$$. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

@MrJuancarlos89 No not yet. Also it is not untethered, it IS tethered so i know i need to use a computer to boot it back up. Also i think that something in the port is broken because usually when you plug it into a Windows cpu you get a "device not recognizable." I don't even get that!

Plug it in the computer, then hold the lock button and that other button for about a minute. It should then work this happen to me before....

Its simple, put in DFU, restore and then rejailbreak. Note: if you dont use your ipod touch for a long time, then it is 100% possible that it wont work anymore.

You should put it in DFU Mode.

What is DFU: Device Firmware Upgrade

Step 1: Turn off your iPod touch / iPhone completely and connect to PC / mac

Step 2: Hold down the Power button for 3 seconds

Step 3: Without releasing the power button, also hold the Home button for 10 seconds

Step 4: Without releasing the home button, release the power button and keep holding the Home button for 20 seconds.

Itunes will identify that you are in DFU mode.

To fix it hold your off button for 5-10sec then hold your home button with the same amount of time without letting go your off button after that let go of your off button but keep holding your home.this method should work.good luck and I hope it helps.

ok i had this problem too i just fixed it so if you have another computer with itunes restore your ipod and update it and you are good just re jailbreak it and tada magic oh and you have to go into recovery mode on ur ipod but if that doesent work it is definately your cable if u get one ur computer will recognize
