Introduction to the 'Nuclear Tipping Point' documentary film by General Colin Powell.
'Nuclear Tipping Point' is a new documentary film that focuses on conversations with four men intimately involved in American diplomacy and national security over the last four decades. Former
Secretary of State George Shultz, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of
Defense Bill Perry and former Senator Sam Nunn share the personal experiences that led them to write two Wall Street Journal op-eds in support of a world free of nuclear weapons and the steps needed to get there.
The film is introduced by General Colin Powell, narrated by Michael Douglas and includes interviews with California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev. "Nuclear Tipping Point" was written and directed by Ben Goddard and produced by the Nuclear Security Project in an effort to raise awareness about nuclear threats and to help build support for the urgent actions needed to reduce nuclear dangers.
This is one the greatest men who ever served this country, I was hopeful he would someday be our president. It saddens me he will not run for office. I wonder why? What truths does he know, that keep him from running?

@PaulUmbarger (5) Hans Blix and his UNMOVIC team, inspecting sites and tipped off by intelligence agencies found no WMD. Blix doubted they existed by February 2003 and told the British foreign office, but Blair never mentioned it to the public. (6) People in British intel also felt pressured to produce the weak evidence they did supporting an Iraq invasion.
There was insufficient justification for the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

@PaulUmbarger There are a few facts that render that reasoning faulty. (1) French intel thought Saddam may have WMD but Chirac at the time recognized that intel agencies can be overzealous and didn't see Saddam as an immediate threat. (2) Bush included in his speech to congress about Saddam looking for Uranium in Africa, something Tenet made Bush take out of previous speeches.(3) Cheney created the OSP (office of special plans) to "find" more intel to justify (4) 10 yr old invasion ambitions

@jorgepautene Yeah, it's a shame that everyone remembers that Bush led us into war but, no one seems to remember that EVERY one of our allies believed the exact same thing... even the French. Think about that, even the French thought Iraq might be a threat.

@zerihoun You don't think the Germans, Japanese or Soviets would have used nukes if they would've had them? Before you slam the US for using nukes in WWII, let's just remember what the alternative might well have been.... a full on invasion of the Japanese homeland resulting in hundreds of thousands more deaths.

This "fine soldier" had his reputation tarnished by the 21st century's biggest war criminal GeorgeBush. You reap what you sow. For all those who blindly followed this idiot, you only have yourselves to blame.

BULLSHIT!
This "fine example of american solider" had no problem lying at UN, promote and instigate an illegal invasion and colonialisation of Iraq and start the war of terror.
US is the country that have used nuclear weapons with the aim of "trying them out" on civlians. Let us NEVER forget Hiroshima and Nagasaki no matter what the white history tells us the burnt bodies and the ideology behind that fact maintains and is reconstructing itself everyday!
