  • @le2ce : We train to keep the kneecap leading the split towards the ceiling and the knee behind us with the kneecap on the floor because it is a basic skill that we use over and over again in floor exercise, beam and bars. On the beam, we need our hips very square to maintain balance and symmetry. Turning our knees out would lead to us turning our hips out which would make things difficult and "wrong". :)

  • @le2ce youre kneecap should be on the floor for gymnastics and it should be turned out for dance.

  • Why the kneecap should face the floor and not be in the turn out position? is this because it's gymnastics or just because it is the correct way to do it?

  • imagine in the future where gymnastics become the most popular sport in which the girls will have to wear thongs!

    sorry when i put that the coach would pick a girl that can not do the splits ... i ment the coach wouldn't pick a girl that can not do the splits ... sorry.
