  • I learned here about a living laboratory for plant and science research and used in informal and formal education. Nice to know that this vast land has a purposeful existence.

  • That chemical / fossil fuel dependent agricultural practices have become known as 'conventional' is... startling.

    This approach has only been 'conventional' for approx 50-60years? That is less than one human lifetime.

    Tax dollars funded ag extension agents who advised farmers to drop sustainable practices for chemical based, industrial ag practices.

    Not everyone in the days of yore farmed intelligently, but 100 years ago, organic food was not just for the rich: ALL food was organic!
