to the kind of tone which inspired men likeAntonio Stradivarii andGeurnarius to devote their lives to do justice to the kind of tones which nobody has yet probably heard for nearly three hundred years.I believe it was the introduction and reliance on vibrato that, like a computer virus destroyed the larger than life standard of tone producton on violin, which shows why their has been no one to make violins like that becuase there has not been that standard of sound any more to inspire the makers

instance is your first daily target with the bow which will enable you to get even more resonsnace and harmonics in the tone and after that at each stage you then try to gradually increase pressure without losing what you have gained so that at times you have delicacy with power evolving without limit. I would also practice a piece that is particularly reliant on vibrato and try to equal it in flexibility, musicality and warmth without a vibrato, for when you can do that you will probably attain

the baton forward for all violinists if you can conscientiously develop with (i) the most complete violin tone you can imagine at the present time each day of your playing life, whle trying to get out to others a faithful representation of what you are continually wisely evolving in your mind's eye, and (ii) get your priorities carefully and honestly in their right places in the big picture and I would suggest if you have not already done this, consider that the lightest touch in the first

You are the only violinist I have heard so far who has the opportunity of producing the kind of uniquely superior resonance which is distinctive to Shlomo Mintz, and which puts him considerably ahead, in my estimation of Itzak Perlman who could otherwise match him and maybe even exceed him in less important ways. If you have not already been heavily influenced by Shlomo I suggest you especially heara him on YouTube when he was young on Caprice No.5 by Shlomo Mintz. You may well be able to carry
