Heard of the man, of course, but never realized I'd been missing out on genius for way too long. A kind of folk, blues, funk..? I don't know what to call it. I'm still mesmerized by these videos. Moved. Please post more if you have them.

How would I do that? For example, I thought that standard E tuning represents an E chord, and Open G represents a G chord etc.

he calls it harmolodic tuning" .you can tune your guitar so that each string sounds like part of a greater "chord" and almost any pattern you play resonates. strange and cool sounding, isn't it.
