I can understand Holden being ticked over Alyssa misleading him, but I'm ultimately on her side. She gave a genuine apology for being misleading, and poured her heart out to him, and he treats her like she's worthless because she was sexually experimental. He also assumes that she was taken advantage of and unable to make a conscious choice about what sexual activities she wants to engage in, like a helpless subservient. It's sad that his love for her was based on such a shaky foundation.

She experimented to find herself as a person, discover her identity and ultimately understand where she stood sexually, and even AFTER becoming a lesbian, Holden became the exception to the rule - the guy she's with though she swore off being with guys.
