An explanation of how the Enigma machine works, and the basic plot of the film: the problem of decoding it.
Sort-of fiction, sort-of based on fact in terms of characters and events... Don't expect much historical accuracy. But it is, at least, a very aesthetic film. I liked this scene in particular.
Director: Michael Apted
Script: Tom Stoppard
Based on a novel by Robert Harris

The one thing that you have to remember is that this film is based on a fictional story! Tom Jericho may be misinterpreted as Alan Turing but Turing was gay, Jericho was not and there was no Hester in real life at the Park. The only bits of this film that are real and true are the technical bits concerning the Enigma, its' codes and how it worked. The Technical & Historical Advisor on the film was Tony Sale, who worked at the Park, the rest is fiction. I know; I also work at Bletchley Park!

Of course! I dont get tired watching this movie over and over and over....
Sadly, they did not have any credit for their job. You can see at the end of the movie, they saved a lot of people.....but .......they did not have any award for their great job!
Mr. Jericho, in real life his name is Alan Turin, he was gay.....and he died really tragedy...but some how, everybody can remember him as the father of the informatics.
