The SMA Hobo Tour made a stop through Lynchburg, VA in 1989. I am pretty sure it was summertime judging from the video. The skaters on this tour were Mike Vallely, Jason Lee, and Jesse Martinez. This skateboard demo was put on by Bikes Unlimited. Frank Anderson, owner of Bikes Unlimited, had quite a few demos come through Lynchburg. It seemed like we had as many Pro demos come through as the big cities did, maybe more. My father shot video of almost all of the demos that came to town. I am currently archiving all of the old tapes and will be posting them as I finish them.

  • I wish people could appreciate this by 89 standards. I hate when kids see stuff like this and they are like "Yeah, what's the big deal" ... fuckers

  • Jason Lee was landing 360 flips before you were born and I learned them like 200 years before you because comments on YouTube are a proven indicator of skate supremacy and the barometer for honesty.

  • @Mjolkmaestro Ghetto Wear most likely

  • YEAAH

  • @Nominay Fuck these kids today. They missed out on skateboardings true golden era. We got to experience it.

  • @DerAngriff I prefered skateboarding back when it was considered dead (early 90s) by the mainstream. Just seemed more special back when it was more underground. Just happy I got to experience that era, kids today wont ever know that feeling.

  • @garageink74 Did you ride for powell?

  • @Nominay Jesse looks a little behind the times in this video, still stuck in the mid 80s era where Jason and Mike were obviously the future of skating. Jesse ripped it on Rubbish Heap though.

  • @fixing2fixit- I agree wholeheartedly, bro. These lame fucks today only wanna skate when the camera's on. Everything about today's skate culture outside of Venice, CA is bland, manufactured, goofy, and and NO FUN!!

  • KIDS NOW A DAYS DON'T KNOW SHIT WHAT WE CAME UP WITH BACK IN THE DAY. SWITCH CAME IN SINCE 1986, FROM THE GONZ. IDIOT KIDZ NOW. FUCKEN TEXTING, VIDEO GAMES AND OUT OF SHAPE KIDS. SO SAD.

  • @Mjolkmaestro probably ghetto wear or skate rags! maybe even limpies!
