  • Thanks Iger07. This was from a 1968 US Army video called Vietnam Crucible. Vietnam Crucible is basicly a overview of US Army training and actions in Vietnam at that time. I tried recording the whole video but has some problems. I saw someone else posted it here though. Try looking it up.

Do you have the US Army manual: Training Text 23-71-1, Principles of Quick Kill, May 1967? I copied the book onto my computer and if you dont have it, I can probably e-mail it to you.

  • Is this a repeat of Fairbairn and Sykes type of point shooting or quick raction shooting?

I'm not knocking it, it works, but why do we have to reinvent training that worked before? Rhetorical question. Thanks for posting that clip. It only proves what I had read and heard over the years.

  • Joe- Please post the rest of the video. Thanks!

  • This is great stuff! I've been collecting material on Quick Kill for the last 25 years and this is the first video I've come across. Keep it coming!

    Thanks!
