I saw The Lincolns in 1984 at Lulu's Roadhouse in Kitchener ON Canada. They were on the same bill as James Brown and his Fabulous Flames. No backup singers like in this video (thanks Debster)...but just as potent. Percussion was fantastic and Prakash John....well, it just doesn't get any better. I had a chat with the lead singer. He has the gift, there is no doubt! :-)
The Lincolns band leader Prakash John is the same man that you can see playin' bass with Lou Reed on the live albums Live & Rock & Roll.

The Lincolns. First time I have ever heard them. What a rocking great outfit they are. Just superb.

What a smoking little (BIG) combo. When Deb described the Lincolns to me, I did not really get it. What a class act!
