  • that IS funny- ya the response always depends on the audience- I was thinking matter and antimatter are supposed to cause a big explosion, or is that science fiction? so i'm see a big freakin pasta explosion, which sounds like some kind of fast food italian place that belongs in the mall

  • Exactly... matter and anti-matter annihilate each other, converting their mass into energy. Big explosion. The ultimate energy source if it could be controlled. That is science. In science fiction, it's the energy source for the Enterprise in Star Trek, for example.

  • Well, sorry... like it says, it's a bit of science humor. This particular bit requires some knowledge of both physics and Italian food, so it's not for everyone.

Look up "matter and antimatter." When brought together, they explode.

    It's just a silly joke.

  • I dont get it..Pasta, any pasta? Where is the joke?

  • Pasta and Anti-pasta.

Do you see the joke now?

  • What about the kitchen counter paradox? You're an astronomer, so maybe you know...in order to create space, you have to clear counter space. And then a minute later, both are gone.

Hope to catch you at Rooster T.'s!

  • lolol

  • joke, i loved: comments, genius! [you know who you are!]

  • only one problem with that-- we have to invent dilithium crystals and non-musical phasers first!

  • I loved it. I think that Scotty said it best in "The Naked Time": Ya can't mix pasta and antipasta cold... I've got to have 30 minuntes! Or perhaps not...

  • ya, dilithium crystals dude- what if we shoot the dilithium crystals with phasers?! ;-)
