The Griffith Observatory is Located in Hollywood off Western and Los Feliz Blvd. After driving a few miles on the windy road you arrive and the first thing you notice is the 360 degree view.
After you look through a telescope or two, and have checked out the hollywood sign, enter the observatory where you can see a giant pendulum swinging from the ceiling, view an electric light show, learn about the moon, stars, galaxies and a whole lot more.
When you are tired of walking you can rest by watching one of their amazing shows about astronomy in the Samuel Oshin Planetarium, an immersive dome that projects the movie on the ceiling.
After the movie is done you can head over to the telescopes and check out the night sky.
The Griffith Observatory is open 6 days a week Tuesday-Friday 12:00pm- 10:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 10:00am-10:00pm and It's closed on Monday.
The observatory is free to get in and $7.00 to see a show .
These are only some of the observatory highlights, you will have to see the rest, for yourself!
