@hackamore I mean the market is more for horses with TB attributes these days.

@missturnnburn Yep, the market is for TBs these days but the QH breeders don't want to change their signs, I guess, so they're selling QHs that are more and more TBs.

@Clover1106 Yes, but unfortunately they're being turned into TBs. Look at the old QHs and compare to today's. I can't even recognize a lot of the QHs at my barn as being QHs.

I'd like to start riding AQHA racehorses. I'm short enough to (4'11"). I heard you don't have to be a professional jockey to ride. Got anymore information for me?

My QH is thunderous! I raced againt my old friends Ranger, and its max speed is 40mph, and even letting the machine get a head start, my mare passed up easily. Love both TB's and QH's though.

My qh sprints in the feild and i cant ever stop him hes fast and never wants to stop

The saddest thing about quarter horse racing is that most the "qh's" are more thoroughbred than quarter horse if you take a look at the pedigrees. AQHA is ruining the integrity of the breed by allowing so much tb blood. its idiotic for anyone to believe that a foundation or pure qh would reach 16-17 or 18hh without the infusion of tb blood.

Thats interesting to me! I am from Brasil and I always wanted to know, Who is faster? 45 and 50 for both? Here we use QH as well as Apendix for a Sport called Vaquejada in wich a man in a horse puts a bull in the ground by taking it by the tail!

thoroughbreds run between 45 and 50 thats a fact if you done your research you would know that quarter horses have raced thoroughbreds before and have been beat every time just to let you know

i dont like TBs sorry i love QHs tho. i watched the video of the tb and the qh race and the tb won but that was just one tb against one qh. who cares. QHs rule!
