My family has probably owned about 4 Accords including the one we have now. They're just amazing. The one we have is a 4-cylinder 160hp. Not exactly very powerful but the i-VTEC engine makes that up by being very responsive. Also great fuel economy. Driving from L.A to Vegas took one half a tank. Also very reliable. During the L.A Vegas trip, our Accord needed an alignment fixing and 4 new tires but still made the trip very smooth. I love Honda's and I'm enjoying my Civic Si.

What about the default brakes in the Honda Accord 09?

Now listen to my America. Do not buy another Henry Ford ICE car. No need to any more. Plug-In America dot org. The ICE is dead.

I have a 94 accord still going strong with 219,000 miles. when she finally dies I will be getting a new honda, that wont be for a while though. Everyone knows someone who loves a honda!

Although "electronic brake distribution" might prematurely wear out the rear brakes, I've had to make several emergency stops on my Accord and have noticed, first hand, that the car's front end doesn't dip down, and the rear end doesn't bump up. The stop is nice and smooth--very nice! So, EBD is a double-edged sword, in my opinion.

It's possible that EBS "electronic brake distribution" is causing premature wear of the rear brake pads on Accords. In fact, there is presently a class action law suit against Honda because may owners are complaining about prematurely worn out rear brake pads. Honda is offering free rear brake pad replacements as part of a settlement.

I'm of the opinion that car makers are making cars so "smart" and "safe" that people forget they're hurling 3-4,000 pounds of steel down the highway- not paying attention etc. It's kind of a dumbing down process. Eventually we will all forget how to drive and legislation will be passed making cars have to be auto piloted. And that's great.... till that fails as all systems eventually do. Pile ups? Can we make cars more expensive please? I need flir technology on my windshield too.

how about the audio system

You are welcome!

Honda is mainly an engineering company so you get advanced technology such as drive-by-wire throttle system, a highly developed double wishbone suspension for the front and even a variable gear steering rack. The competition can give you more options for the same price perhaps, but quality engineering is money better spent.
