  • I'm back on the same piece for another comment....I'm beginning to believe Barenboim is one of of the last living vestiges of the musical truth as time goes by? I have adored horowitz and richter, brendel and rubenstein, kempft and argeritch...the virtuosos and purists but now i have rediscovered Barenboim....i thank god for him...what a musician.

  • It's actually difficult to play without exagerating certain passages and excessive rubato and pounding the bass octaves during the passionate parts....do any of these things and it isn't Mendelssohn.

  • MY Favourite!!! THat makes me feel about loniness. (I lost a girl) :(

  • sublime, superb, extraordinary sentimental pages the ones written by Mendelssohn, tender and highly spiritual
