702's Great Winter Swim Challenge

Our 702 ABC Sydney on air stoush between Breakfast's Adam Spencer and Drive's Richard Glover has culminated in a gripping race at the Bronte Beach baths.

It all began earlier in the week when Richard and Adam started trading on-air blows about the coldest week in Sydney for 20 years.

To show that it was indeed very cold, Phil Ashley-Brown from 702's breakfast show jumped in the water at Bronte earlier in the week and then challenged Richard to a race in the pool.

Richard reckons Adam and the breakfast team are 'soft' and says in contrast, he's tough as knuckles.

702 Breakfast tested that theory this morning on Bronte Beach ocean pool, putting Phil up against Richard in a do or die race, with expert race calling from Peter 'Splash' Wilkins.
