@alberteinstien18 , That is your belief and that is great, however I think that all sounds crazy. I spent my life in church and doing mission work and being a christian. I disagree with it and I think it is short of insane to take any of it seriously. But I respect everyone's belief as long as they don't preach to me or shove it down my throat.

@NoriDavis I have said time and time again that I have read the bible. I have studied it and if you would like to know the answers to these questions then do it for yourself. Think a little deeper about what you are reading and don't just accept it as good because the bible says it is. the new testament has many examples of condoning slavery. in the old testament god might put restrictions on slavery but he could have just said "no slavery". Think about that while you try 2 justify slavery rules

@mayjason84, It sounds to me like you have the right idea about equality. on slavery you are incorrect. Jesus nor any other christian writer has anything to say against slavery. in fact they uphold the idea of slavery. paul even returns a slave to his owner which is against the law of moses. slavery is mentioned many times and upheld by jesus and the other christians. you should do better research. ignorance is not a shield you can hide behind.

Just because God allowed certain things in keeping His promise of our free will, does not mean he condoned it. I'd like your reference in the new testament of condoning slavery. @tokiravensky I believe that respect equality for all people regardless of your fatih, regilon, gender, sexual orientaion, race, and political affiliation are the corner stone of our county. I don't think what President Obama did is wrong. However, I know that slavery was not acceptable to God in the new testament because of the research I did on the subject. I appreciate you feedback on the topic.
