This week on TG TV:

The First Jueteng Hearing of the Blue Ribbon Committee

Sen. TG Guingona is the chairman of the Blue Ribbon Committee -- one of the toughest and most powerful committees in the Senate, as they are tasked to run after corrupt officials/employees of the government.

We started with the first jueteng payola hearing/investigation last week, September 21, 2010. Archbishop Oscar Cruz revealed the list of names of the government officials receiving payoffs, which included DILG Undersecretary Rico Puno (who was seated right next to Fr. Cruz at that time).

Things to watch out for:
- Sen. TG's thoughts on his first major committee hearing
- Why jueteng is an important national security issue -- and why it should matter to the common tao
- Clarification of the role of the Blue Ribbon Committee
- What to expect in the next hearing (Sept. 30, Thursday)

***

TG TV is a project of Senator TG Guingona as a step towards greater transparency in the government. Please watch out for our weekly episodes to find out what senators really do. We will be chronicling a senator's first term in the senate, and we want YOU to join us. The citizens should know what their officials are doing.
