  • @wynngarrett Every song of theirs is a tutorial on how it's done and how every guy standing in a circle on a corner or hallway or subway station harmonizing, wanted to sound.RIP Pookie

Eddie Black,lead/first tenor The Five Sharks

  • Unreal! Amazing! I could go on and on with the adjectives but you get the point

  • GIl-once outside Westbury I asked Gerald what songs he liked to sing in the 50's and he went right into The Moonglows The Masquerade Is Over. Now that was a thrill.

  • great post!

I had the pleasure of working with Pookie & Gerald quite a few times, what a great story teller was pookie..by the way the gentlemen backing him up do justice to this song!

  • Dear God, You are so lucky to have Pookie there with you. But I miss Mr. Hudson, and so do millions of others.

Now he's singing with the angels, you lucky angels. Judy

  • First heard Mr Pookie Hudson sing Goodnight Sweetheart in 1977 as an 8 yearold, the man will be teaching the angels to sing, he was that good.

RIP Mr Hudson, your music will live on forever and you wont be forgot, pur genius....

  • I like this one Issy !! or should I say pookie ! 5*****

(I haven't heard that word for years !)

  • WynnGarrett- I have been listening to Pookie Hudson & The Spaniels for as long as I can remember. Each time I head them sing "..Peace of Mind", I begin to get teary eyed. I am also a professional Doowop singer and have been singing for 53 years.. They are one of a kind. Excellent!!

  • I miss ya buddy. There was no one better than you and Gerald the greatest bass that ever lived.RIP.

  • this is the best

    thank you Randroe
