This time lapse video demonstrates how liquid can permeate the membrane of an egg through osmosis. In part one, the egg sits in a vinegar bath for 24 hours to remove the shell. In part two, corn syrup replaces the vinegar and water exits the eggs membrane. In the last part, the egg is placed in water and the egg swells as the water moves back through the membrane. All segments cover a 24 hour period.
