The bin will still.be transparant even after use. Dysons don't mind getting dirty bins cleaning. That's their job.

I can relate. My brand new vacuum (NOT a Dyson) still sits in the carton as I continue to use my 12-year old vacuum which doesn't do a lot any more! (They're BOTH Bissels, which work just fine for quite a while, and really don't cost a lot to replace) BUT the idea of my pretty new one ending up looking as bad as my old one is heart breaking. (Even though they clean up fairly easily and well, they never look brand new again!) I'm a long-haired woman with a long-hair cat. Replace brushes often.

@danzaviva oh i currently have a few dysons the one that gets most dirty is the dc04 used every day i cant get the bin clear as it was when brand new :(

Dysons are so often sold because you need two to clean each other ....

you are lucky you guys have dc17 and dc28!!! we donrtt have them in the UK but we do have dual cyclonic dysons some have round brushroll i want a dc17 btw you could always wipe the bin and everything then it will look good

@Parwaz786 Yeah, I wipe out the bin everynow and then, but it is such an awesome vacuum that there is dust inside no matter what. This is my second Dyson, I don't even remember what happened to the first. RIP>

What model is this?
Also, how would you say the build quality is overall? Compared to other vacuums?
Also, have you ever had to use the customer support line? If so, were they helpful or rude?

@FeeLtheHertZ I know it is late in replying. I have never needed customer support although I do recall needing a part for my last one and it was a heck of a time finding it so I bought a new one. It was a piece that broke due to misuse by someone I wont mention eh em. This is my second so I really like them. I have used Kirby and Rainbow and they don't even come close. For the money ($459) when I bought it, it was well worth it. I love to get my carpet and everything else clean.
