The Game is a movie based on the filming techniques of Alfred Hitchcock, that I did as a final project in a class about Hitchcock. Its about three players that sit down for a game of poker. I wanted to keep the story very basic and simple so that I could concentrate on the visuals and technique. While the resemblance might not be too noticeable at first glance there are a lot of references to Hitchcock.
While its not the best movie that I've done I do like the final result, and I think that it has some of the best music I've done so far.
The Hitchcock movies that inspired me for this movie were; Rope, Psycho, North By Northwest, and Rear Window.
Sorry for the critic but where is the Hitchcock touch?
There isn't a starring and then there isn't suspense; there isn't the tecnique of identification "I see him - I see what he see - I see him" like "Rear Window"; the public doesn't know the cards of nobody and Hitchcock always show the danger that the starring doesn't knows... If you don't wrote that the movie is based on the filming techniques of Alfred Hitchcok I didn't write the comment!!! Sorry, it's not a good short movie for me!

Ok I understood about half of that, but I think what you said was that you didn't see the resemblance to a Hitchcock film. You are correct, most of the similarities are very subtle almost to the point where you wont notice them. It would have also turned out better if I had a little longer to film it, I only had 20 minutes to shoot this and I think it shows. So this is my least favorite movie that I have done, but I'm still proud of it.

Don't worry about it I love Hitchcock too, and this was for a class I took in college on Hitchcock and this was my final project.
