@nknuson Why does all music praising God have to be all peppy and sunshine? There are many aspects to God and not all involve rainbows and butterflies. Extol uses metal, not screamo or 'dark', as simply a vessel for getting their lyrics and message to people who might not be effected by acoustic guitar hippy pop. Thanks Extol and similar bands for doing what you do.

Yeah I hear ya brother, it the same friggin thing on almost every friggin black, unblackened, deathcore,grindcore youtube video, a little religious comment debate always fills the comment box. I think if many hear their earlier albums, its more of a "Black Metal" sound, they get more progressive, Thrashier/Death Metal and borderliined Math Metal with their complexity on this and Synergy. Also, Extol along with Gardenian, Soilwork and Opeth were among the 1st to add melodic vocals with the Death/Cookie and Screaming vocals YEARS before it became popular to do so. They were ahead of their time :) \m/.
