just use an amp and stick this in the effects loop (which will bypass the nova systems od/dist). Never believe any effects unit can replace a good ol' tube amp. They are only meant as supplementary tools.

you absolutely nailed it.
If you play pretty good gear, i would definitely advice to get a nova system. With less good equipment, a modelling system would be a better thing. In the Moment, that you buy an Amp with character, first thing you do is sell the crappy modelling things.

@symbolic90 If you've got midi on your amp then yes. If you got the standard 1/4 inch plug then you'll need something like the MIDI Solutions Relay.

I have an Peavey 5150, would the Nova sound great for this Amp ? By the Way i dont know to plug this Nova in - to get the best Results...

Is there some way changing an amplifier's channel with this multieffect?

TC Electronics Nova system or Line6 M13 ?

... question... I'm running the Nova through a Suhr Badger 18 ... that has a serial loop effect setup. However; I can only get the Nova to work by running cable from Nova to normal guitar jack on the front of the amp. I think i may be using the wrong type of cable for the serial loop... do I need to use some kind of special stereo cable? I just can't seem to get the serial loop to work with my normal guitar cables...

How many presets can you store on this? Where are they accessible?

What midi pedal would control this? What can the midi do exactly...? I've never used midi on an effects pedal before. Also, how many presets can be stored?
As I'm pretty happy with the dirty channel on my amp, I assume I'd run this through the effects loop for best results from all the other effects.
My question is what about presets? Would you recommend editing them all to remove the drive effect or just leave them? I've never run a drive pedal in my effects loop so don't know how it'll effect the signal.
Seems like they should have done two outputs on this. One for preamp, the other for effects loop...

@richardlpalmer
If you are happy with the dirty channel on your amp i would edit the presets and use the delays modulations and reverbs through the loop. Distortions don't sound great after the preamp and are best placed before to add more gain.
Yes two outputs would have been great!

How would this amp do set in front of an Orange Tiny Terror? It doesnt have an effects loop, so I'd have to run it before the preamp. My Orange is set up for overdrive tones and i roll back on the neck for semi-cleans. I see myself using the delays, reverb, and modulation, and maybe an overdrive with a slight mid cut for heavier stuff. How do you think this would do? Any opinions? Thanks!

@jacobtheguitarfreak The effects work best after the distortion but will still sound great through your amp, its all about the sound that your happy with. You can set the overdrive on the unit to push your amp or tweak the EQ to give you a different sound completely.
